FMCSA
Broker Bonds/Trust Agreements: All
brokers must have a bond worth $10,000 to protect
them and their shippers from problems with transporting
freight.
We offer four Plans:

Cash Plan: Brokers put up $10,000 of their own money
and pay only a $400 dollar administration fee the
first year and up to $400 every year to maintain
the bond.

Co-Trustee Plan: The broker must arrange for a $10,000
Irrevocable Standby Letter of credit from a federally
insured bank naming our Trustee as the beneficiary.
A $550 administration fee is paid annually.

Asset Liquidation Plan: The broker authorizes the
Trustee for the liquidation of $10,000 of receivables
sold. Cost is $400 plus a $550 administration fee.
- Installment
Plan: Broker submits $500 up front and $500 a month
until a balance of $10,000 is reached. The cost
is $1450 the first year, $750 the second year, and
$550 the third year.
Contingent
Cargo Insurance:
- Brokers
aren’t required by law to have contingent
cargo insurance, but many of your shippers will
require it.

A good broker wouldn’t think of operating
without protection against carriers with canceled
policies, or conditions in their policies that make
them worthless.
Transportation Software:
Broker
